I WIN!

Frightened out of my skin, I jumped out of bed. And there it was, with the most horrible colour in the world; Oh how I loathe you.

Confusion and fear got the better part of me for the first few seconds. Should I attack or do i flee? I had to decide and quickly too.

It was a Huge one about 30mm long with broad, flattened body and relatively small head, with mouth parts on the underside of the head, it also had chewing mandibles. Ugly as ugly can be, it had two large eyes with antennae too

For a moment I felt like a stranger in my own room as I almost couldn't resist the urge run away from this abomination of a creature.

Still undecided about what to do, what move to take...I noticed it's capability of flying, which implied it could attack me. Oh how I wish my 'roomie' could have been here to 'save the day'
But sadly she wasn't in, I had to face my fears and conquer my demons'. I opted for a defoliant which of course I couldn't quite use properly because of the dread of going too close to the 'beast'.

I was lucky enough, I had gotten 'it' and this I knew because of its rather unstable movements.
I WIN!
well so I thought. But like magic it regained balance (my victory was cut short) and with eyes now bulging it made attempts to fly towards my direction or should I say attack me? Errm' well there was no way that could've happened as I was already outside observing it from a far.

It took me only few seconds to realize that the 'all of a sudden balance' it displayed was a cheap or rather smart plot to scare me.

I was right I got it! It had just a few seconds of 'scattered wondering' until it came crashing down.

I smiled, I WIN!

  4. As much as the story was fun to read, it was also predictable...if u cud have made us realize something else rather than the 'cockroach'. Trust me, everyone knew u were talk abt an Insect from the first few lines... Use dat as an advantage to open up something surprising and unexpected.
