THINKING
I stretch from side to side
Steer clear please I need that much space
I think about it again and again
And who said I'm taking too much time?
When hazy is all that's left to see
Whose shoulders do I cry on?
When lonely is what I feel
Whose bosom will I find solace?
I run from it round and round
When there is so much at stake
Everything seem to 'Confound and confound'
I hold strong so I don't break
The once 'little girl' is all grown and grown
What to become she has to choose
The childish flare she has to outgrow
And 'Herself' she must not lose
To what should she turn to
Every now and then she wants to runaway
To where she doesn't know
Lots of questions left in space
But this little speck of faith
Is that which keeps her from sinking
But to leave it all to fate?
Is what won't permit her to stop 'thinking'

I want something a little deeper, but this is good for a start. I expect that in a few months you'll give poets a good run for their profession...
ReplyDeleteI second that. Hopefully with time
