SUSPENDERS
It was a typical afternoon at the airport that day and I was in my ‘not too loud’ mood. The whole place was noisy as usual, passengers trooping in and out to get one thing or the other done.
It would interest you to know that despite the rowdiness of the whole place, to me it was very quiet. I had barely spoken any word to any one, as the day was rather dry.
At times like that, I am my best companion. I would let my mind travel wide; it is usually a time to play around with my thoughts.
Then all of a sudden, it appeared from nowhere. Like magic, all my senses awakened. Any time, any day, anywhere, I will always be a lover of SUSPENDERS.
Show me a guy with the right swag cum dress sense and has suspenders on, I’m in love with him already.
So the mystery guy walked into the airport in a slim-fit long sleeve shirt, fitted pants, and corporate looking shoes with suspenders on also. PERFECTO!
If you ask me, he was perfect, i literally had to take a minute to catch my breath. Didn’t get to see his face properly though but who cares? 'I mean he was wearing suspenders'
N.B: I wasn’t tripping for the guy o, just really love suspenders that's all; before my husband sends me packing. LOL

Betimes This Morning
La La La La La La La
I woke up on the right side of my bed today
Little be said, Fabulous feeling, I am joyous Hurray!
With schedule almost touching the sky,
First things first; Gotta give quality praise to my FATHER
Best part of the day, Sweet time with my DADDY
Soft music, muffled sounds, silent yet altissimo revere
Early will I seek Him, and incessantly too
No greater feeling, I have all, because I have YOU
Dance Dance Dance
Inner unexplainable conviction resonating on the inside
Needless be that I repeat, I woke up Betimes this morning
Confidence from no other than YOU
Another I dare not seek, lest I’d pass for a fool
In YOUR might I would start my day
Ready altogether to battle and win come what may
Victory is certain for those that love HIM
Their joy, peace and success cannot be shortened.

IDIOTS
Putting aside an UNSAVED SOUL, I dare say the next on the scale is an illiterate man with an unexposed and unrefined mind.
You'd be amazed at how barbaric some Nigerians still are even with the degree of exposure in the country. Does illiteracy take away common sense also? I often wonder. But then, some illiterates behave even better than the ‘supposed’ literates. This makes it a bit complicated. So it’s ok to say that we also have Educated Illiterates.
On several occasions, I have had serious reasons to doubt the sanity of some persons. Some tantrums people throw are just overboard and it leaves you wondering in utter disbelief.
I’m really sorry to say this; but I think Nigeria has the highest unrecorded cases of people with different magnitudes of bipolar disorder. I mean how else can you explain it?
Some persons are so rash, harsh and experts at treating people like trash. They flare up uncontrollably like explosives, not caring who gets incinerated in the process. This minute they are normal and the next, you see an animal.
We really do not need to see a medical mental/ psychiatry evaluation result of some people to infer that they have varying degrees of mental disorders.
This leaves me to juxtapose illiteracy and mental imbalance. Critically looking at both side by side, one can’t but notice the parallelism. Illiteracy has a way of making people act like IDIOTS, mostly due to the obvious reason, that they are not schooled, are unexposed and uncivilized. And Mad people on the other hand also act like IDIOTS. Relationship established!
Amongst the numerous regular IDIOTIC DISPLAYS, I would list a few;
1. Leaving your house without bathing or brushing with smelling clothes and bad breathe..........(Eewww)
2. Spitting just in front of another person or out the window when there’s someone behind.......(Gross)
3. Standby readiness to engage in physical combat in public at every time T.........(street fighter)
4. Unnecessary loudness and razzness' in public places all in the name of catching up or gisting.........(totally unacceptable)
This list is endless as we often experience them on an everyday regular basis.
Please leave your comments sharing some of these uncivilized behaviors you have experienced.
Thank you

That LIGHT called WESTERNIZATION
I recently decided to try and keep up with the trend of events happening around the world, be up-to-date, current and stuff and it’s been really crazy.
I am an ardent advocate of WESTERNIZATION or should I say I use to be. Seriously, I’m not so sure anymore. Western culture before now had this LIGHT that Africa as a continent needed to draw from because apparently the continent use to be really backward in pretty much every area.
As time passed, that LIGHT rubbed off on us, and though we couldn't help it, we could see and feel it. We were happy, at least the bulk of us were. Things started to get better. Barbarism and archaism became words that were seldom heard. Electricity came, so did good roads, our female children could now go to school, a fair legal system that was more organized, there was better medical care, fewer children were seen in the streets, our mothers now have more purpose, finally there was freedom and equality for all. Things started to 'make sense'
Against all odds we drew from ‘that light’. The elderly ones were against the CHANGE that came with that light. They ‘fought tooth and nail’ to drown it. They were not happy, neither were we
Fast Forward…….its 2015
Now we are trapped in the web of ‘that light’. We want to go
back but we can’t.
How foolish of us to not have considered the cons that it brought along with its pros. We were totally oblivious, we didn't shield ourselves. Oh WESTERNIZATION, how great is
thy sting?
Help! what is happening to our daughters? They no longer want to put their clothes on, nudity is now the new 'cool'. Our sons have refused to ‘farm’ with their fathers choosing to be rebellious instead, our parents now live in different houses. What happened to our obedient, disciplined and morally upright children?
Hostility, Stealing, wickedness, killing, terrorism, defrauding, divorce are now common place plus I hear homosexual marriage have been legalized in some countries. Same countries we draw light from. Sure doesn’t sound/feel good.
#Sniff....i smell imminent danger, we have to do something, We need to act now before it becomes too late. I dare say we should declare a ‘State of Emergency’
Do we go back and erase every effect of that light alongside every good it came with?
How do we remedy this situation? The seemingly GOOD LIGHT
has turned into GROSS DARKNESS swallowing our once dim luminescence.
Indeed “what an old man sees sitting down, a young man cannot see standing up”

Hapless Victim
Why is mama always sad, every time i see her sobbing by the side; the many things that go on inside, and i ask, where is dad?
Amayah is a sad little girl, an only daughter amongst sons; all the chores her job to do, while her brothers, with toys they play
With tears in her eyes daily she would watch, boys playing about on their way to school; this heap of laundry she must tend, helpless as can be
Wishing school could be for girls too, Amina never stopped crying, every time wishing she could be a boy; how to read and write, badly she wanted to learn.....
It is quite an unfortunate situation. But what really have we done wrong? We didn’t choose to be this way, we didn’t create ourselves. What has the society turned us into? Why this rather glaring unfair relegation?
From childhood we are told how to behave, that our position is ‘underneath’ and that always we must submit.
They call us weak, pushed us to the brink, ‘tied us up’ so we couldn’t compete, making us feel like we are not complete.
How unfair have they been, acting all so mean. Like trash they threw us into the bin. Oh! But we are still human beings
After taking away our strength; every time reminding us never to bring our head up; Again they expect us to strong, Oh! but they are so wrong
Women are kings, kings who deserve every iota of respect; yes equal opportunity for all, so we have heard, the words of the western world

Stolen Innocence
The thought of a 14-year old willingly opening her legs for a grown man of
over 30 years, is still something my mind cannot fathom. And guess what, she
wasn’t even a virgin.
Way back then, popsy would tell us that whoever marries as a virgin would get a brand new car for a wedding gift. This was BIG then and it helped. Sex before marriage was like an abomination. It wouldn’t even cross your mind. My parents made sure that we were also well monitored. #ThumbsUpsToThem
It is really sad that some parents just give birth and literally abandon their kids. They live together but are totally oblivious of what they are going through. How do you explain the story of a mother that had absolutely no idea that her 3-year old daughter was constantly abused by her uncle for so long, under the same roof? Unbelievable! Because she had serious injuries in her private part.
Multiple sex partners at age 14? Too bad!
Amongst other reasons why I find this rather puzzling, is the fact that at age 14, I was very naïve and innocent. I had just started menstruating the previous year and it was all about academics for me then.
Mind you, I was very much aware of sex, dating and related issues because I read a lot back then, was an extrovert plus I was kindda very close to one of our grown in-laws. She was very beautiful, adventurous and quite spoilt. She would tell me about all her boyfriends; the ones she liked, the ones she slept with and those that were just magas’. Often times, I would follow her to visit some of them. I knew about all her escapades, she would tell me virtually every detail.
Ok, enough said about her already (RIP Buddy)….Now you know that I wasn’t so naïve after all. (Point communicated)
Even with how strict my parents were, I was quite exposed. Way more than my sisters I should think; but I never tripped. You know what they say…..'Train up a child in the way he should go…... (you know the rest)
Don’t get me wrong, I am not oblivious of the fact that as a young girl, you can be deceived and taken advantage of. But for a 15-year old to be a pro’ in sex already is something that should be frowned at. At age 15, she had already slept with a lot of men! WOW!
How messed up inside she will be? Much emotionally trauma for such a young child.
Oh! But why was her innocence stolen so freaking early? Why couldn’t she have the normal growth process? Did she have a mummy to cry to?
Streams of questions come to the mind;
When did she start?
Was she abused as a child?
Where are her parents?
How did she become this bad?
Why couldn’t anyone help?
Was she ever infected?
How did she manage herself?
Now I am older, I tell you, sex is complicated especially for a woman. And to think that a small girl with not very mature mind and organs would have gone through such ordeal is saddening.
And YES! i blame it mostly on POOR PARENTING!
Parents please watch over your children, your girls especially. Groom them, be their friend. Don’t allow this fate for your children. You owe it to them! It is your responsibility.

Please Don't Stop
I want to know, my dear, please
share
Every wink you make
Makes me want to sink, O my, say you
will be mine
From afar of I see you
Very distant, yet in an instant, I
know you
The aura you exude
Makes me die of WANT, this is true,
not just a vaunt
And just like a teenager would
I DREAM of you, holding hands
together, you and I
Please don’t wake me up
I am with
my love, the both of us, love is in the air
Finally we
are ALONE
That ting
of excitement, who knows what could happen, giggles
Finally I
have you to myself
I would
hug you tight, kiss you all over, the many things I want to do to you
You took a
closer step
I was
glad; I could feel your breath, a KISS on my cheek
No better
place in the world
Than with
you my love, hold me, please don’t stop
Butterflies
in my stomach
Even
better than I had imagined, it was mind blowing, please don’t stop
Your LIPS on
mine
Kiss me
deeply baby, I want more, I want you
Under the
covers
With no
clothes at all, I would touch you, o yes! Enjoy you
We would
have the entire night
To do what
we want, CUDDLE, MAKE LOVE, oh! It would be heaven
The
thought of how sweet you would TASTE
Uuhhmm,
licking my lips, sweeter than honey, baby you are SWEET
Best dream
ever
Don’t wake
me up, please; I don’t want it to stop
