How Sad!

Only a few minutes ago I heard some freelance workers at the airport talking about a man.
This seemingly 'Wicked man' had just passed on the night before. You would be amazed at the comments they made about him. There was nothing good spoken of him. How sad!

Apparently he was very wicked, he had no compassion, he victimized everyone with his office, he collected money forcefully from people and threatens to arrest you, if you should refuse to play by his rules.

My desk happens to be centrally located, so I always got information 'FRESH' and Unadulterated.

More workers passing by would stop to join in the discussion. They had the same wicked experience and some of them even shared theirs.

There was this particular story that was quite touching. A man had just lost his wife and was still at the peak of grieving when 'this wicked man, who by the way was now late, intercepted him and demanded he paid #15,000 for what, he still doesn't know till date. He pleaded that he didn't have any money and others around did too on his behalf, that he had just lost his wife and all. But this wicked man who by the way was a police man wouldn't listen, he arrested him and sadly he slept in jail that night.

There was another story of how he arrested a baggage boy just because he wouldn't split the money a satisfied passenger gave him.

Others shared stories of how they had to borrow money to settle this heartless policeman, how he collected their whole day's revenue, how some of them had to go without food the whole day as a result of this.

I couldn't help but notice the relief in their voices and faces. They were sort of happy to be rid of this 'terrorist'. How sad! Really! I mean, one would expect to see sad faces and people grieving but instead it was the Opposite.

Apparently the wicked Policeman slept and didn't wake up. Who knows? Karma maybe #JustSaying

Only sadness you bring
Well so I thought before now

This joy I see shimmering on these faces
I am left to wonder how this could be

How well have we lived our lives?
This question we have to ask ourselves

'cause when finally we do leave this world
What legacy would we leave behind?

Will there be tears because we will be greatly missed
Or relief as in the case of this wicked man

BIG QUESTION: How would you be remembered when you pass on?

  1. They say you don't speak evil of the dead, so if a dead man must be evil spoken of, and by many people at that, he must have a well-deserved hellish experience on the other side of eternity. May his violent soul keep being troubled for eternity!
